Referencing

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is an essential stage in any website project. Here's the method we use to ensure optimum referencing, whether your site is under development or already online.

Introduction to search engine optimisation

What does SEO involve?

The aim of search engine optimisation (SEO) is to position your site as high as possible in the results of search engines, particularly Google.
For example, if you type in “bijouterie Lyon 6”, good search engine optimisation means placing your site in at least the first 5 results.

What’s your aim?

The higher you appear in the results, the more traffic you’ll generate on your site.

What are the differences between “natural” and “paid” search engine optimisation?

The term “organic” is contrasted with the term “paid”.
Natural search engine optimisation covers all the actions that improve your ranking without paying a penny to the search engines. Paid search, on the other hand, refers to Google Adword, Facebook Ads or other advertising campaigns.
These two types of SEO are often used together to give you maximum visibility. But beware: paying is not the only way to get good visibility in ads. Preparing your site with a natural SEO campaign beforehand is essential, as is monitoring your objectives via Google Analytics.

How do we work to improve your visibility on the Internet ?

Here are the different stages of the referencing campaign implemented by Ice Development in the first year.
In addition to each monthly report sent to you, an overall assessment is carried out each year to analyse the performance achieved and identify areas for improvement for the next campaign.
This document includes an inventory of your positions as well as new optimisation proposals.

Step 1: Choice of keywords

Together, we build the lexical field based on your targets and objectives.
These are the words and phrases on which you want to appear in Google search results.
These words must be precise and must appear in your content.

Ice Development works with you to examine the relevance of the list drawn up, then submits a new selection to you for validation.

Step 2: The SEO Audit

In this stage, Ice Development draws up a document with recommendations and optimisation proposals.
Numerous areas for optimisation are presented: content modification, meta title, meta description, H1, H2, H3, image, site speed, micro-data, etc.

Ice Development drafts the document, then submits it to you for approval.

Step 3: Implementation of optimisations

In this step, only Ice Development is involved in implementing all the optimisations validated in step 2.

Step 4: Implementing a netlinking strategy

Formerly based on directory listings and press releases, today’s approach is different.
Ice Development creates your official pages on the main social networks (Facebook, Youtube, Google +, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), advises you on effective publications, and make it easier to share your content.

We’ll also advise you on how to get the right links.

Step 5: Setting up a tracking system

Ice Development implements the free Google Analytics tool on your site, sets objectives with you, and advises on how to effectively analyze the vast amount of data returned.

Every month, you will receive a PDF statistical report on your positioning and its evolution.
In other words, for each keyword, you’ll know whether your site appears 1st, 2nd, 8th or 15th on Google and whether it has gained or lost places compared with the previous month.
All your reports are also available online at any time.
